My classes focus on opening to movement and breath in the present moment, bringing a feeling of groundedness and ease to the body, and calmness to the mind. In the various postures, I emphasise the need to care for the spine and joints, to allow the body to move as best it can.
I enjoy sports, especially tennis. In teaching yoga, I have a passion for yoga in sport. My aim is to keep your body working for you, so that you can keep on enjoying your sport!
I started practicing Hatha Yoga 20 years ago, and am very happy to be part of the TT15 students at The Yoga Academy. Holding a certificate from Bangor University to teach mindfulness-based courses, I incorporate my knowledge of mindfulness meditation in all my yoga classes. I have two teenage children and live in Wimbledon.
